Beautiful Design, Disappointing Practicality
"While the Boori Byron v23 looks fantastic on paper and blends seamlessly into a modern home, its everyday practicality falls well short—particularly if you are buying it for a 5- to 6-month-old starting solids. 1. Poor Ergonomics for 5–6 Month Olds The chair is definitely not suited for younger infants beginning their weaning journey. The footrest is set far too low, meaning a 5- to 6-month-old’s feet won't come close to reaching it unless they are exceptionally tall (and even then, it's doubtful). There is very little flexibility to adjust this, leaving baby's legs dangling without proper support. 2. Awkward Harness & Lack of Infant Support Securing a younger baby comfortably in the harness is a real struggle. It is difficult to adjust into a position that feels natural or supportive, and Boori doesn't offer an infant insert or padded cushion to fix the gap. As a result, smaller babies lack the core support needed during early feeding. 3. Impractical Daily Design Moving this chair around the kitchen or dining table is unnecessarily cumbersome. It completely lacks any handles, cutouts, or grip points on the sides or back, making it awkward for an adult to lift or shift with one hand while holding a baby. 4. Frustrating Assembly Experience The instruction manual feels like a lazy translation that was completely delegated to the overseas factory and never reviewed by Boori. Steps are misordered and key instructions are skipped entirely, making assembly far more frustrating than it needs to be for a premium nursery brand. If you only care about aesthetics, the Byron v23 fits the bill. But as a functional piece of baby gear meant to support early feeding milestones and daily convenience, it misses the mark. You'd expect far better ergonomic flexibility and attention to detail at this price point."
